Livret P Retail savings, residential real estate

A public savings offer, full every year, run from a phone.

Livret P lets the general public invest in French residential real estate from 100 euros, entirely from an app. We built the product and everything behind it so that a small team could run a regulated offer for 20,000 savers.

The situation

A savings product for the general public, regulated at every step, expected to feel like a banking app, with a team of a few people.

Savers subscribe to bonds issued by Livret P SA, which invests in French residential real estate; the capital is not guaranteed. The offer is made to the public within an annual limit. Every saver has to be identified, every euro in and out screened, and interest credited every day.

Savers expected to do everything from their phone, without forms or calls. With a few people, sign-up, payments, support, interest and compliance could not depend on anyone doing things by hand.

What we decided

A few choices made the difference. Each one came with its reason.

  1. 01

The product lives in the phone.

From sign-up to withdrawal, every step is in the app. A product with no entry fees cannot afford a call centre, and savers do not want one.

  2. 02

    Compliance without a compliance department.

Identity, completeness and anti-money-laundering checks run while the saver signs up and pays. The team handles only what is flagged.

  3. 03

Operations that run without the team.

Interest is credited every night, with a safety net that reruns what is missing and never credits twice. People are alerted only when a run fails.

  4. 04

    Let savers bring the growth.

Seasonal campaigns, referral and search content bring savers back and bring their friends, which keeps the offer full without breaking its economics.

How it runs

What now runs on its own, and the detail behind each decision.

ProductThe app

A native iOS and Android app covers sign-up, identity check, deposit, withdrawal, term accounts, portfolio, referral and help. It has shipped continuously since 2022.

ComplianceIdentity and anti-money-laundering

Identity is verified by document and selfie during sign-up; a completeness check asks the saver for exactly what is missing. Every deposit and withdrawal is screened against a set of rules when the money moves; anything unusual goes to the compliance review queue.

Process automationInterest every night, and its safety net

Interest is credited each night, for savers then company accounts, with campaign boosts applied. A later check compares the night with the recent average and reruns what is missing; a morning check emails the team only if a run is still incomplete.

Process automationA back office on a schedule

Thirty-six scheduled operations reconcile each payment channel, send notifications and emails, check signatures and bonus eligibility, clean up abandoned transactions and mature term accounts. A guard blocks transfer instructions with incomplete bank details.

SalesSaver relations without a call centre

Support lives in the app. Each saver’s stage is synced every hour to the email platform, which sends the right message at the right step, alongside text messages and push notifications.

GrowthCampaigns, referral and search

Seasonal campaigns pair a time-limited boost in the app with an email sequence. A referral programme and a written search content process, from keyword research to publication, bring new savers. Company accounts were launched with their own landing page, email and article.
